OSAKA, JAPAN - Sharp Corporation, a worldwide developer of innovative products and core technologies that are shaping the future of electronics, has announced the introduction into the Japanese market of three models of the 1-Bit Digital Audio System.
The three models-the SD-NX10, SD-CX1, and SD-FX1-have built-in 1-bit amplifiers. The amplifiers sample signals at 2.8 million times per second (2.8 MHz), approximately 64 times the rate of CD sampling, and use a 7th-order delta sigma modulator IC to ensure highly stable amplification of music signals. This means users get faithful sound reproduction that is almost indistinguishable from the original. The 1-Bit Digital Amplifier has already created quite a stir in the high-end audio field.
With these built-in 1-Bit Amplifiers, this series takes audio light years beyond previous standards. It also takes advantage of the energy efficient, compact digital amplifier to offer a wealth of functions in a slim stylish audio package.
1-Bit Digital Systems will transform an entire room while giving advanced audio life for next generation for users who use digital tool such as PC and mobile phone.

The amplifier and transformer sections of the SD-NX10 are separate from the main body, giving it a thin, bold design. The SD-CX1 incorporates a simple, casual, transparent design, while the SD-FX1 employs an all-in-one thin design that allows you to take it anywhere easily. The display section on all models uses 4-mode multiple color lights, allowing you to express yourself to match your music and moods. |
| 3. | Built-in Circuit for Long Playing and Recording in MD Stereo (MDLP)
This series is compatible with a new MD standard that allows you to record up to 320 minutes, the equivalent of four CDs, onto a single 80-min. MD. |
