TOKYO - Aiwa Co., Ltd. has introduced the XR-MD710, a mini hi-fi component system with a 3-Mini Disc (MD)/3-CD changer.

The XR-MD710 is just 50.8cm wide, but integrates a 3-MD changer, 3-CD changer, cassette deck, and tuner, offering all the playback, recording, and editing functions like higher-end systems.

It also features a high-powered 60W, high-quality wooden cabinet speakers, BBE sound processing system for precise mid- and high-range, and virtual surround QSURROUND to create natural stereophonic surround effects. What's more, speaker grilles are available in two colors to complement any interior decor.

This allows high-quality digital MD recording from external equipment such as BS/CS digital tuners and DAT, in addition to CDs.

The energy-efficient XR-MD710 consumes just 1.0W when plugged in and on standby mode with the power switch off.
