TOKYO - Aiwa Co., Ltd. has introduced the XR-HG2MD, a mini-disc (MD)
component system featuring a MD/3CD changer and double cassette deck.
The XR-HG2MD's double-speed dubbing function makes it easy for users
to carry out all their desired MD editing. This model offers five
recording choices: a single hit recording function that simplifies
recording one track from a CD onto an MD; program recording; random
recording that records a CD at random; all program recording; and one
program recording.
The XR-HG2MD also features a sampling rate converter for digital
recording from BS/CS digital broadcasts and DAT to MD. Users can input
and edit alphanumeric or kana characters for MDs with the remote control
unit. Plus the XR-HG2MD boasts a high-powered 30W amplifier and double
cassette deck. In short, this is an easy-to-use MD component system for
the typical music lover.

Note: The same CD cannot be recorded again in double speed within 74
minutes after the double-speed recording starts, for copyright
protection purposes.
