TOKYO - Aiwa Co., Ltd. has introduced the XR-H330MD, a mini hi-fi system with a built-in subwoofer speaker, multi-amplifier system, and Mini Disc (MD) deck.

The XR-H330MD brings mini hi-fi systems to a whole new level of performance with its integrated subwoofer and multi-amp. What's more, it eliminates the need to buy a separate subwoofer system to enjoy deep, dynamic bass reproduction as well as crystal-clear vocals and other mid- and high-frequency sounds.

The XR-H330MD also features QSURROUND, an upgraded version of QSOUND, for greater natural stereophonic surround effects, an MD deck, three-disc CD auto changer, dual cassette deck, and a "single hit recording" function that makes it easy to record from CD to MD. The XR-H330MD is a high-quality, multi-function mini component system.

Main features
* Built-in Subwoofer System and Multi-Amplifier System
Built-in subwoofer speaker system reproduces clearer, richer bass reproduction than conventional bass-reflex systems, without affecting the mid- to high-range signals.
Multi-amplifier system offers two main improvements over conventional systems:
(1) less interference between low- and high-range signals, and
(2) improved reproduction of low-, mid- and high-frequency ranges. The XR-H330MD is equipped with four power amplifiers -- two separate left/right circuits for low-range and mid-and high-range signals. (Low-range circuit: 30W/channel, mid-and high-range circuit: 10W/channel).
The XR-H330MD also features a 3-way speaker system (Low-range circuit: subwoofer, mid-and high-range circuit: mid-range loudspeaker and supertweeter).

*QSURROUND, an upgraded version of QSOUND, reproduces greater natural stereophonic surround effects.
* Flexible editing/recording -- Multi MD functions
(1) Easy character input with jog dial (up to 50 numeric, alphabetic, and kana characters can be input for each program)
(2) Monaural extended recording mode, allows recording up to 148 minutes on a 74-minute MD.
(3) Double-speed playback function ensures more efficient, quick program selection.

* Advanced new remote control allows listener to input characters while editing an MD.

The XR-H330MD has an energy-saving standby function reduces power consumption to 1.1W when the unit is plugged into an outlet (with the power switch off and the standby mode on).
* Three-disc auto CD changer
(1) Disc change function allows the user to change two CDs while another one plays.
(2) CD continuous playback allows programmable/repeat playback of three CDs.
(3) Disc direct function lets the listener quickly select a favorite CD from those in the changer.
(4) CD edit function makes it simple to select a favorite program to edit to a tape (AI program).
